Xmas

Busy busy busy!!! Relaxed with lots of friends. That seems to best describe August's first christmas on the outside. Xmas eve was spent at Patrick and Kelly's house. He played with Hannah and baby Max while showing off his best walking skills for all the adults. Us parents also enjoyed getting out and seeing everyone. It was August's first holiday party and he got to stay up late meaning.....

We slept in on Xmas morning. A cold front came in over night and we had breakfast in our jammies then opened presents. August loved all the boxes and paper, being able to hang out in the front room, and a musical card from Auntie Reeve. We heard the beginning to "Have a Holly Jolly Xmas" a hundred or more times. Then we got dressed and headed to Sunny and Erics house to play with Noah and eat some brunch. Eric played short order cook and August loved playing with Noah's new road signs and garbage truck. He also ate: an egg, two types of sausage, two slices of pear, and 1/3 of a pancake along with 8 oz of formula!!!!
(I should insert here that August also had his first negative experience with some stairs. He tumbled headfirst down the two stairs into Sunny and Eric's bed room. He was more surprised than hurt and was almost imediately back to playing. Mama and Papa were more shaken up by his speedy escape and tumble but happy that he was unhurt)
After some play time in the Noah's yard we headed home for a nap. Later Jenny and CJ came over to play games. Jenny "rode" August's new caballo. He thaught that was great. and then showed off with several rounds of click clack gator. (he was trying to play shy with Jenny and CJ)

Now on the 26th, all the boxws and paper have been put away and the toys are in the spot light. Its like xams all over again. What are these new things!?!?!?! He loves his new Alaska 123 book. Again Again Again. And we played with his new dumptruck from Auntie Sabina and his bamboo racecar from Gandpa and Baba. The Bamboo racecar is now driven by his monkey finger puppet from his teachers. So now let the play coontinue because we are on our way to Patrick and Kelly's once more for Hannah's 4th birthday party......

Pictures to come!
